What Our Fencing Services Includes
We never take shortcuts with post depth or fasteners. Every project includes complete professional execution from utility locate coordination through final cleanup.
Why Standard Fences Fail in Colorado Springs
Property owners across Colorado Springs, Fountain, and Falcon face unique climatic stresses: sudden 70-80 mph downslope Chinook winds, severe frost heave in winter, and bentonite clay that heaves unanchored posts out of plumb. Our specialized fencing services prevents leaning sections, loose pickets, and sagging gates through engineered depth and superior fastening.
Footing Depth: Minimum 24 inches (below 20" frost line).
Fasteners: Ceramic exterior screws (no nails to work loose).
Concrete: ~100 lbs per post for lateral wind resistance.
Our Step-by-Step Craftsmanship Process
1. Comprehensive Site Survey
Transit laser survey of property pins, municipal easements, and grade elevations.
2. Utility Mark Clearance
Mandatory coordination with Colorado 811 to locate subterranean gas, electric, and fiber optic lines.
3. Deep Subsoil Boring
Hydraulic augering minimum 24 inches deep into undisturbed subsoil past the local frost line.
4. Bell-Footing Concrete Pours
Anchoring posts in 100 lbs of 3,500-PSI commercial concrete with domed crowns to shed rain.
5. Structural Framework Assembly
Kiln-dried Douglas Fir or Cedar 2x4 horizontal rails fastened with ceramic star-drive screws.
6. Precision Picket Alignment & Cleanup
Board-by-board vertical plumb fastening, gate hardware tuning, and magnetic yard sweep.
Cost Factors
The cost of fencing services in Colorado Springs depends on overall linear footage, ground slope, soil rockiness (especially on the granite west side near Manitou Springs), post material choices, and custom gate widths. Standard wood privacy fences generally range between $26 and $42 per linear foot installed, while specialty ranch rails, metal posts, or custom shadowbox styles reflect lumber grade and post depth specifications.
PPRBD & Local Permits
In Colorado Springs and El Paso County, residential fencing up to 6 feet in height located in side and rear yards does not require a building permit from the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department (PPRBD). Front yard fences within the 25-foot zoning setback are restricted to 4 feet in height to preserve vehicular sight triangles. We coordinate all mandatory Colorado 811 underground utility locates at least three business days prior to breaking ground. Jeremy's Fences/Decks/Handyman, LLC operates under Colorado SOS LLC #20191360619.
The Veteran Standard
Jeremy's Fences is owned and operated by military veteran Jeremy Van, serving Colorado Springs, Fountain, and Falcon since 2019. We maintain an accredited BBB A+ rating with zero customer complaints and an average 4.9-star rating across 83 verified reviews. Every post is set minimum 24 inches deep in 100 lbs of concrete, and we exclusively drive ceramic-coated exterior screws—never pneumatic nails that pop under Front Range wind pressure.

What Colorado Springs Clients Say
Rated 4.9★ across 83 Google reviews. Veteran-owned craftsmanship you can trust.
“Jeremy and his team did a great job with our fence and gate rebuild! He got us in earlier on their schedule since we were missing a gate to our yard. Great craftsmanship and fair price based on amount of work and comparing quotes in the area. Highly recommend.”
“Hi Amy! Thank you for leaving us a great review! We appreciate the opportunity! David Milner”
“Jeremy did an outstanding job replacing a fence gate after the Colorado spring winds tore it off the hinges! The new gate was so much better than the one he replaced - super sturdy and with a great, very solid latching mechanism. We also had him build a gate on the deck at the top of the stairs, to keep our little Dachshund from trying to get down the stairs and potentially hurt herself. The gate is so solidly built; I’d say both gates were even “over-engineered” with their solid construction. Lastly, we asked Jeremy to fix the mechanism on our lower yard gate; he replaced the poorly functioning one with his solid gate closing mechanisms, and even re-engineered the gate to accept the new mechanism. Lastly, despite the huge number of damaged/destroyed fences due to the aforementioned storm, he got to us within a week and his communication was solid. Definitely recommend Jeremy and his business - he’s now on speed-dial for us for any future needs in this area!”

Love the the smooth glide, no sag gate! Thank you so much Jeremy. It's hard to find contractors willing to go the extra mile, to satisfy their customers.
